Por que os Estados Unidos não acabam com o socialismo em Cuba?

Meus amigos, já escrevi aqui: eu sempre tive simpatia pela Revolução Cubana por achar um movimento essencialmente popular. O povo, num movimento capitaneado por Fidel Castro e Che Guevara, derrubou a ditadura de Fulgêncio Batista. Depois, repetiram o erro: transformaram a ilha em outra ditadura, agora socialista, apoiados pela antiga União Soviética. A União Soviética acabou e aí a Venezuela ajudou Cuba por um tempo. Veio a crise econômica e política da Venezuela e Cuba ficou sozinha no mundo. E segue assim até hoje.
Aí vem a minha dúvida, que está no título deste texto: de uns tempos pra cá (ou mais recentemente, podemos dizer assim) porque os Estados Unidos não invadem Cuba e acabam com o socialismo lá? E por que digo mais recentemente? Porque a gente sabe que teve a crise da Invasão da Baía dos Porcos, lá atrás, em 61. Seria muito fácil para a nação mais poderosa do mundo invadir Cuba e acabar com o socialismo lá. Por que Donald Trump quer criar um muro para separar o México, cria uma crise militar com a Coreia do Norte mas sequer cita Cuba? Não entendo. Os Bush, pai e filho, também agiram dessa forma. Inclusive, Bush filho invadiu Iraque e Afeganistão mas nada fez com Cuba.
O interessante é que procurei algo a respeito na internet, algum artigo e nada encontrei. Se fala muito em aumentar ou diminuir o embargo (como mostra a figura que ilustra este texto. E Cuba continua enfrentando o embargo econômico até hoje), dependendo da época, se fala em leis mais duras para sufocar o país mas não se fala em porque, até hoje, os Estados Unidos criticam o regime cubano mas não invadem o país para acabar com o socialismo. E Cuba segue a sua vida, com suas dificuldades.

My friends, I already wrote here: I always had sympathy for the Cuban Revolution for finding an essentially popular movement. The people, in a movement led by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, overthrew the dictatorship of Fulgêncio Batista. Then they repeated the mistake: they transformed the island into another dictatorship, now socialist, supported by the former Soviet Union.
