O que espero do Grêmio em 2021

Meus Amigos, o ano pandêmico do futebol foi tão maluco que emendou 2020 em 2021. Por isso, o meu diagnóstico do Grêmio será só agora, em março.

O 2020 do Tricolor, apesar de ter chegado na final da Copa do Brasil, foi decepcionante, principalmente em relação a Libertadores. Pela primeira vez em três anos, não chegamos à semifinal do campeonato sulamericano e, para piorar, não entramos direto na fase de grupos para o ano seguinte. 

No Brasileiro, foi aquele festival de empates que nós vimos. E, mesmo na Copa do Brasil (onde chegamos na final), o Grêmio teve a facilidade de ser o único clube grande a ter enfrentado dois times da 2ª divisão para chegar nas semifinais. Na verdade, o único time grande contra quem o Grêmio teve uma vantagem expressiva em 2020 foi o Inter. A outra alegria do ano foi ter ganho o campeonato gaúcho. É pouco.

Com relação ao calendário para 2021, acho que o Grêmio deveria abrir mão da Libertadores esse ano. Primeiro, porque não teve competência para entrar na fase de grupos. Segundo, porque terá o desgaste físico da pré-Libertadores. Deve fazer um esforço para passar da pré-Libertadores porque, se cair aí, perde a autoridade até de gozar sobre o Mazembe. O foco deve ser na Copa do Brasil e o campeonato brasileiro.

O Renato deveria ter saído. Foi o seu pior ano no Grêmio.Nas suas entrevistas no final da temporada, parecia que ele via outro jogo. Eu traria o Cuca, que fez um bom trabalho no Santos e sabe trabalhar com jovens, que será a base do Grêmio em 2021. Mas paciência. O que mudar no Grêmio...

Meus amigos, revi os textos que escrevi sobre o Grêmio aqui no blog durante esse ano e percebi que, modéstia a parte, acertei numa ánalise (ou mantenho a opinião sobre um aspecto já que é algo subjetivo). Há exatos nove meses (portanto, em janeiro: https://blogdaacessibilidade.blogspot.com/2019/01/o-que-espero-do-gremio-em-2019.html),  eu dizia que o nosso time tem uma média de idade muito alta. Temos muitos jogadores com mais de 30 anos, principalmente na defesa: Paulo Victor, Geromel (que faz o seu pior ano no Grêmio), Cortez. No jogo decisivo contra o Flamengo, ainda tivemos Paulo Miranda e chegamos a correr o risco de jogar com Léo Moura, que já passou dos 40 anos. Ainda temos Maicon e Tardelli frequentemente jogando. David Braz também joga bastante.
