É possível trocar de cadeira (ou de qualquer outro aparelho que o SUS disponibilize) a cada dois anos. Essa troca da Pati demorou dois anos e oito meses. Mas tudo bem.
Ela está muito feliz com a troca. A cadeira velha já estava instável, o que deixava a Pati insegura, principalmente nas ruas, e também para fazer as transferências em casa.
A cadeira nova é de outra marca, Freedom (a antiga era Ortobrás). Ela é mais potente e já vem com pneus maciços. Disseram que sobem meio fio inclusive (a Pati ainda não testou).
E como se conquista uma cadeira dessas? É simples: a pessoa com deficiência (ou responsável) tem que ir no posto de saúde com os laudos médicos. O posto de saúde encaminha esse laudo para a secretaria municipal de saúde que repassa para a secretaria estadual de saúde. A entidade de reabilitação física que trabalha em conjunto com a secretaria estadual de saúde entra em contato com o paciente para tirar as medidas e ver as necessidades do mesmo. Depois, a cadeira é entregue.
